New PC
I’m in the process of having a new PC set up for me at Uni:
It’s a Dell Precision WorkStation 670

4 x x86 Family 15 Model 4 Stepping 3 GenuineIntel ~3192Mhz (two 64-bit Intel® Xeon® dual-core processors with 800MHz front side bus and 2MB L2 cache per core)
2GM RAM
128MB PCIe x16 NVIDIA Quadro FX 1400
300GB drive

Dell UltraSharp 2005FPW 20″ widescreen flat panel display

Sennheiser HD570 headphones

And some of the other kit I’ve played with in my lab,
M-Audio Firewire 410 Mixer / Soundcard.
Sony DCR-HC39E Camera

Samsung 50″ Plasma TV

Panasonic 50″ Plasma TV

Logitech Wingman Strike Force 3D
For he’s a jolly good…
That’s my title here at University of Sussex. I’m doing a little project for a couple of months prior to starting my PhD and this is what Universities call such temporary positions.
I think it sounds funny, like I’m a “research dude” only more formal.
Life Illustrated
I recently came across this graphical illustration of how (not) to do life,

My good friend Oli has recently pointed out some observations about the way I’m trying to lead my life,
“Guess you did something right there, you stopped somewhere in the middle and are moving backwards now…”
He’s got a point. Like he mentioned on another occasion, since I left Rockstar I’ve been reverting back to my childhood:
I’ve returned to England, have moved back into my mum’s house, have been seen “down the ramp” with a bunch of other 30-something skaters, or skating along the promenade in Brighton (which I used to do when I was 14), am back at school with an undergrad girlfriend 10 years my junior, and I’m (still) playing loads of video games.
